Dragonfly Metal Neckwear

Inspired by the wing structure of a dragonfly, the Dragonfly Neckwear series re-examines possibilities for transforming a flat sheet of material into a three dimensional form.  Made of alloy 304 stainless steel, Dragonfly Metal achieves its three-dimensionality through hand-forming after it's photo-chemically machined.  Dragonfly Metal is designed to be worn as pictured or more like a pendant when the included extension strap is installed.

Photo-chemically etched by an aerospace part manufacturer for NASA and Mars Rover Project locally and hand worked & fastened with leather by Yeh Design Lab.
